Ava Katushka

Bloomberg

Ava Katushka is a software engineer and artist who blends creativity with code. By day, she builds back-end systems and tinkers with front-end projects at Bloomberg; by night, she creates watercolor art, postcards, and quirky illustrations. Prior to joining Bloomberg, Ava worked at Yandex, Google and Mozilla. She loves algorithms and data structures and has [her own website](ava-coding.com) dedicated to them. During conferences, Ava love to make art notes. Her unique note-taking style combines doodles, symbols, and words to make conference learning stick — and she’s on a mission to help others turn their notes into visual stories worth remembering. You can see some of her [notes from EuroPython 2025 here](https://www.linkedin.com/posts/ava-katushka-0628ab104_second-day-on-europyton-was-so-exciting-activity-7351861808082657280-8dGv.). Ava earned a bachelor's degree in computer science from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology
